Mini Vacation: Los Angeles, California

It’s Wednesday, guys. Finally! Some of you probably have had a full week of work so far but today is my first day back from my trip! I can’t even begin to explain how amazing it was to go on a mini vacation and breath the ocean scent. Apparently, as soon as I left to the west coast, there was a snow storm here in Washington D.C. What a relief I didn’t have to deal with that…

As I had mentioned in my previous post, I partnered up with the company I now intern for and did a Fall photo shoot for back in October. Well, I got to meet with Sheila (the wonderful miss I have been working with) and got to help out with her Spring collection. Let me tell you ladies, the dresses are unbelievably gorgeous and of course they’re affordable! So look no further and go shopping at Social Butterfly House ! (Okay, that really sounded like a Commercial Ad, sorry!) Sometimes I find it weird going on the website and seeing myself wearing their clothing, so I try not to tell many people about it. Shhh…but you know what? I love working for SBH and modeling for them so go ahead and check it out! If you do decide to shop for a dress or two..or four, hashtag #socialbutterflyhouse on Instagram and show me what you got! I’d love to see what you pair the pieces with.

So back to my trip, oh how I miss sunny California. The beautiful beaches, the wonderful people, the optimistic environment, I could go on for days. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to do a lot of the things I planned to do, BUT I did visit my favorite place! (I mean, I had to because it wouldn’t be California without it). Venice Beach. So if you’re not familiar with that beach, four words: Art. Freedom. Good vibes. Seriously, you step into that zone and you’re in another country. There are a lot of tourists, but don’t let that get in the way of having fun if you’re not a fan of having them everywhere. You have music (instrumental) playing on the boardwalk, lots and LOTS of souvenir shops, delicious restaurants and of course, the beach. If you ever go to Southern California, seriously go check out Venice, you can thank me later 😉

I do plan to go back and visit again soon, possibly for my birthday in a couple of months. For now, I will continue having a great time with my loved ones! Which brings me to…another adventure happening this weekend? Yes. Another mini getaway with friends because I don’t have enough getaways, right?

Happy hump day!
